The AI for Reproductive Health Innovation Challenge 2026 invites African innovators to develop data-driven solutions that address urgent maternal and reproductive health issues. This initiative brings together professionals in technology and healthcare to create scalable tools that improve access, decision-making, and service delivery across Sub-Saharan Africa.

About the Program

This challenge focuses on applying Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and related technologies to solve real-world health problems. Participants will collaborate in teams to design and test innovative digital solutions that can be implemented at scale.

Eligibility / Requirements

To participate, applicants must:

  • Be residents or citizens of Sub-Saharan Africa
  • Apply in teams of 3 to 6 members
  • Include at least two female members
  • Have a mix of technical and health-related expertise

  • Familiarity with Python
  • Access to tools like Google Colab or Jupyter Notebook
  • Ability to use virtual collaboration platforms
