The African Network for Economics of Learning, Innovation and Competence Building Systems (AfricaLics) invites Expressions of Interest from African researchers who would like to join the AACRA Research Coordination Area (RCA).

The project is intended to improve research collaboration on the ways in which innovations, science and technologies can aid in the transformation of agriculture and adaptation to climate change in Africa. AACRA is an established platform to facilitate long-term academic engagement rather than a single grant or fellowship for research.

Participants are involved in jointly designed research designs as well as knowledge exchange and policy-orientated outputs that help shape practices in the field of development across Africa.

Purpose of the AACRA Initiative

The AACRA Research Coordination Area seeks to improve understanding of the ways that inclusive innovation systems can improve the social and economic as well as ecological capacity across Sub-Saharan Africa.

The initiative focuses on:

  • Innovative and sustainable agriculture that is inclusive
  • Strategies to adapt to climate change and build resilience
