Overview
The programme is led by the APRM Continental Secretariat in partnership with YouLead Africa and Restless Development. Selected participants will assess how African countries are implementing youth-focused policies and frameworks.
Your insights will contribute to a continental policy brief and inform the Africa Governance Report 2027.
What You Will Work On
Participants will engage in research and consultations across key areas:
- Youth participation in governance and elections
- Peace, security, and youth inclusion
- Employment, entrepreneurship, and economic opportunities
- Youth identity, culture, and Pan-Africanism
- Policy implementation and institutional accountability
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must:
- Be between 18 and 35 years old
- Be a citizen of an African Union Member State
- Be active in youth, civil society, or community work
- Show interest in governance, policy, or development
- Be available for 3 to 4 months
- Be proficient in English or French
Experience in research or advocacy is an advantage but not required.
