The BeGreen Programme is a practical entrepreneurship programme for young founders ready to launch or grow businesses that contribute to sustainability. You’ll gain the core skills to build, refine, and pitch your business and compete for milestone-based grant funding of up to $5,000.

This programme is made possible through a partnership with Generation Unlimited and UNICEF, as part of a shared commitment to expanding opportunities for young people in the Green Economy. The current BeGreen Programme builds on the success of its first iteration, expanding its reach and impact in this second cycle.

Why This Programme?

The BeGreen Programme is built to equip young entrepreneurs with practical skills to build, run, and grow businesses in the Green Economy. 

Building on the successful implementation of the BeGreen Africa programme last year, the programme has been refined and improved. We’ve taken the learnings from last year and built a highly informative and robust learning and business development programme. To name a few improvements, we have:

• tailored the learning journey based on your business lifecycle stage.
• enhanced the pitch & business development content you have access to,
• made more practical, hands-on learning available, with real-world business challenges, expert workshops, peer learning, and community support.
• further incorporated inclusivity based on local nuances, and
• expanded opportunities through the UNICEF Generation Unlimited Yoma platform.

As the demand for sustainable solutions increases, there’s a clear need for more youth-led businesses that drive environmental and social impact. Beyond skills training, BeGreen is also about driving economic prosperity, creating jobs, and generating revenue through scalable green enterprises. 

You’ll take part in design-thinking exercises, build essential business skills, and prepare to pitch with confidence. Along the way, you’ll work through a complete learning pathway, from the basics to advanced strategies.
