Are you passionate about health, innovation, technology, and storytelling? The Digital Health Africa (DHA) Internship Program 2026 is now open for applications. This six-month, remote internship offers emerging professionals a chance to gain real-world experience, mentor-led learning, and contribute toward shaping Africa’s digital health future.
What You’ll Do / Departmental Roles
As a DHA intern, you may be attached to one of these teams:
- Media & Communications: Produce digital health stories, podcasts, social media content, and campaigns.
- Programs & Partnerships: Support coordination of events, partnerships, and stakeholder engagement for DHA initiatives.
- Research & Insights: Contribute to data collection, policy briefs, and digital health research.
- Technology & Digital Systems: Help with platform updates, system tests, and digital infrastructure projects.
- Africa Digital Health Student Network (ADHSN): Work with student groups, coordinate innovation challenges, and document student-led activities.
Learning & Development
Interns will engage in structured monthly training and mentorship covering:
- Africa’s digital health ecosystem
- Health communication & storytelling
- Digital research methods
- Project management for impact
- Partnerships & youth community building
- Policy, governance, and advocacy in health
- Career development and portfolio-building

Eligibility Criteria
Applicants should meet the following:

- Based in Africa or working on Africa-focused projects
- Passionate about digital health, policy, technology, or media
- Able to commit 8–10 hours/week from January to June 2026
- Comfortable working remotely and collaborating across teams
