YASR is an annual Yale Africa student-led & alumni-supported initiative featuring startups shaping the future of innovation and entrepreneurship in Africa. Our mission is to create a channel that shares stories of ingenuity and innovation of the African Startup ecosystem to attract interested global stakeholders.
The YASR 2026 List will be released live on March, 28th 2026 at the Yale Africa Startup Review Conference at Yale University. Nominators & startups nominees will get preferred early bird tickets to this exclusive event.
Featured YASR startups have raised millions of dollars in venture financing, gained acceptance to prestigious startup accelerators, received follow-on press mentions from leading news media, attained global visibility and won other major accolades.
