Dangote, ACCI Forge Strategic Alliance for 2025 Abuja Trade Fair to Drive SME Growth, Investments, and Sustainable Trade

Dangote Industries Limited has unveiled its collaboration with the Abuja Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI) for the 2025 Abuja International Trade Fair, underscoring its unwavering commitment to fostering small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), stimulating industrial expansion, and promoting sustainable economic development across Nigeria.

The highly anticipated fair, scheduled to commence on September 25, 2025, will span 12 days in Abuja, the nation’s capital. It is expected to host more than 100,000 participants, including multinational corporations, government agencies, SMEs, development partners, and diplomatic representatives from across the globe.

In its official announcement, Dangote Industries described the partnership as a landmark collaboration designed to strengthen trade linkages, draw foreign and local investments, and widen the scope of opportunities available to entrepreneurs and business leaders.

“Dangote Group is delighted to formalize its partnership with the Abuja Chamber of Commerce and Industry. This collaboration provides an invaluable platform to engage diverse stakeholders, stimulate intra-African trade, and enhance the capacity of SMEs,” the company’s statement noted.

The 20th edition of the fair, themed “Sustainability: Consumption, Incentives, and Taxation,” will highlight eco-conscious practices, innovative green technologies, and policy frameworks capable of fortifying value chains while improving household livelihoods.

Fatima Wali-Abdurrahman, Senior Adviser to the President of Dangote Group, disclosed that the conglomerate will showcase a wide spectrum of its products and services. These include cement, sugar, salt, fertilizers, packaging materials, petroleum products, automobiles, and trucks.

“Virtually all our business units will feature prominently at this year’s fair. While Dangote remains a dominant market leader across Africa, our focus continues to be on innovation, local value addition, and consistent growth,” she said. She further applauded ACCI’s “Buy Africa, Build Africa” campaign, describing it as a timely strategy for deepening regional integration and boosting SME competitiveness.

ACCI President, Chief Emeka Obegolu (SAN), emphasized that the upcoming fair will serve as a fertile platform for businesses of all sizes to showcase their products, engage investors, and explore emerging markets.

“Our alliance with Dangote underscores our vision to accelerate economic development, reinforce business partnerships, and unlock opportunities for local communities. A key emphasis of this edition will be enabling small and medium enterprises to expand their scale and competitiveness,” Obegolu remarked.

Similarly, ACCI’s Director-General, Dr. Agabaidu Jideani, described the event as more than a commercial exhibition, positioning it as a hub for innovation and sustainable business practices. He explained that exhibitors, investors, and entrepreneurs will gain immense benefits through networking, market visibility, and access to green opportunities.

Backed by Dangote’s industry leadership and ACCI’s strategic vision, the 2025 Abuja International Trade Fair is set to become a vibrant epicenter for commerce, innovation, and SME empowerment—playing a pivotal role in shaping Nigeria’s economic trajectory and future prosperity.
