FG Unveils SEP Framework to Empower and Support Nigerian Youth

The Federal Government has announced a new initiative aimed at improving the lives of young Nigerians through targeted support and empowerment programmes.

The initiative, known as the SEP framework which stands for Support, Empower, and Protect, is designed to address key challenges facing youth, including unemployment, limited access to education, and safety concerns.

Speaking at a recent event in Abuja, government representatives acknowledged that many young people have lost trust in public institutions. The new programme aims to rebuild that confidence through practical interventions and consistent engagement.

As part of the rollout, the government is introducing support systems such as a Youth Help Desk to handle complaints and provide guidance, including issues related to law enforcement. There is also a Waste to Wealth programme focused on helping young people develop skills that can generate income.

The programme is expected to expand opportunities for youth while promoting inclusion and sustainable development across the country.
