Seaman’s Schnapps has once again demonstrated its dedication to grassroots empowerment as a proud co-sponsor of the 2025 Nigerian Artisans and Technicians Conference (NATCO), held in Ibadan, Oyo State. The initiative underscores the brand’s long-standing belief in the dignity of labor and the transformative impact of skill development in advancing national economic growth.
During the conference, six outstanding artisans were empowered after a thorough selection process led by the Seaman’s Schnapps team. The beneficiaries emerged in three major categories—Tailoring/Fashion Design, Bricklaying, and Automobile Mechanics—following interviews and performance assessments.
In the tailoring category, the honorees were 18-year-old Miss Sahad Mariam Omolara from Iseyin and 25-year-old Mr. Oduola Abdulsalam from Alesinloye, Ibadan North. The bricklaying category featured 16-year-old Moshood Mubarak from Iddo LGA and 36-year-old Abiodun Akinyemi from Oniyanrin, Ibadan North West. In the automobile mechanics group, 37-year-old Akeem Raji and Kazeem Ismail from New Garage, Challenge, Ibadan, were recognized.
The atmosphere at the event was charged with excitement as friends, families, and well-wishers of the shortlisted artisans gathered to witness the momentous announcement. The event represented more than empowerment—it was a tribute to the perseverance and industrious spirit of everyday Nigerians determined to create a better future through skill and hard work.
NATCO 2025 convened hundreds of artisans, technicians, and apprentices from across the nation to honor craftsmanship, creativity, and resilience within Nigeria’s informal sector. The conference featured practical workshops, enterprise development sessions, and empowerment programs across trades such as tailoring, welding, solar technology, and shoemaking.
