The Lagos State Ministry of Agriculture and Food Systems has launched applications for the 2026 Lagos Agripreneurship Programme (LAP), an initiative aimed at equipping young Nigerians with practical skills in agriculture and agribusiness.
The programme is designed to build a new generation of agripreneurs who can contribute to food production, create jobs, and strengthen Nigeria’s agricultural value chain.
Programme Structure
The initiative offers two training pathways:
Agricultural Training Institute (ATI) Programme
- One-month residential training in Epe
- Followed by a three-month internship and mentorship
- Open to participants aged 18 to 30
Farm Service and Entrepreneurial Centre (FSEC) Programme
- 10-day non-residential training in Agege
- Flexible option for wider participation
- Open to ages 18 to 40
Both tracks cover practical areas such as poultry farming, aquaculture, vegetable production, and agribusiness management.
Key Benefits

Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must:
- Possess at least a Senior Secondary School Certificate
- Be physically fit for agricultural work
- Have a valid LASRRA identification number
- Meet age requirements (18–30 for ATI, 18–40 for FSEC)
- Provide accurate and complete application details
Shortlisted candidates will undergo screening and aptitude testing.
