Lagos Trade Fair Sets Bold Target of One Million Visitors for Historic 2025 Edition

The Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) has unveiled grand plans for the 2025 Lagos International Trade Fair, with expectations to draw one million visitors—making it the largest edition in the fair’s 39-year history.

Scheduled for November 7 to 16, 2025, at Tafawa Balewa Square, Lagos, the Chamber’s vice president and chairman of the Trade Promotion Board revealed that publicity efforts kicked off as early as April to help achieve the record-breaking milestone.

Traditionally, the fair records about 350,000 visitors and more than 2,000 exhibitors across 10 days, with delegations from roughly 15 countries. The upcoming edition is set to shatter those numbers, positioning the Lagos Trade Fair as one of Africa’s most prominent and influential platforms for commerce, networking, and cultural exchange.

The Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment has confirmed attendance, and organisers are awaiting confirmation of the president’s presence at the opening ceremony. Corporate giants and partners backing the 2025 edition include United Bank for Africa, Dangote Industries, Leadway Assurance, Flour Mills of Nigeria, the Japan External Trade Organisation (JETRO), Tolaram Group, Lifemate Nigeria, and North West Petroleum.

Specialised exhibitions will be a major highlight, featuring the Children’s Corner, Tech Hub, Africa Hall, and five Chinese industrial fairs. Fresh additions include the African International Chocolate Show and the International Paper Publishing and Printing Expo.

A central highlight of this edition is the partnership with the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS), which will be celebrating its 50th anniversary at the fair. Organisers say the collaboration will shine a spotlight on the region’s strides in economic integration and shared growth.

JETRO will host the Japanese Hall, showcasing pop culture experiences, while Flour Mills of Nigeria will sponsor a lively food court offering both African and global cuisines.

Adding more excitement, November 14 has been designated “Black Friday,” with a strong focus on women’s participation and celebrity appearances. Exhibitors are expected to roll out massive discounts and exclusive offers.

Entry into the fair remains free for visitors and exhibitors, with enhanced security and logistics to guarantee a safe, smooth experience. Organisers also encouraged the public to use the fair for year-end and festive shopping, while urging businesses and sponsors to seize the immense opportunity for visibility, networking, and market expansion.

The 10-day event will close on November 16 with a grand ceremony led by the Lagos State Governor.
