More than 3,000 small-scale entrepreneurs and vulnerable residents across Lagos State have each received N50,000 in financial support under an empowerment initiative designed to uplift local businesses and enhance community livelihoods.
The programme, which offered direct financial aid, aims to strengthen business resilience, promote self-sufficiency, and empower small-scale traders, artisans, and low-income earners. Several recipients expressed appreciation, noting that the funds would help them scale their operations, acquire necessary tools, or restock their businesses amid prevailing economic difficulties.
Hon. Moyosore Ogunlewe, Chairman of Kosofe Local Government, supervised the initiative, which earned praise for its transparent coordination and commitment to uplifting grassroots entrepreneurs. He highlighted that the project aligns with ongoing efforts to create employment, stimulate local economies, and foster inclusive growth across Lagos communities.

The empowerment exercise, held in celebration of Barr. Seyi Tinubu’s 40th birthday, also underscores the collaboration between public officials and community stakeholders to advance the development of the micro, small, and medium enterprise (MSME) sector.
Through targeted investment in local business owners, the initiative supports Lagos State’s long-term objective of nurturing a dynamic economy driven by innovation, small business expansion, and shared prosperity.
