PEBEC, World Bank Launch Peer Learning Workshop to Strengthen State Investment Reforms in Nigeria

The Presidential Enabling Business Environment Council (PEBEC), in collaboration with the World Bank through the SABER programme, has launched a Peer-to-Peer Learning Workshop aimed at improving investment reforms at the state level across Nigeria.

The workshop brings together Commissioners of Commerce and Heads of State Investment Promotion Agencies to share insights, exchange experiences, and explore practical strategies for strengthening business environments.

According to organisers, the initiative focuses on helping states move beyond policy development to effective implementation, with the goal of improving their ability to attract and retain investors.

Participants are expected to engage in discussions around investor attraction, process efficiency, and long-term investment sustainability. The programme also encourages the adoption of best practices that can enhance regulatory systems and ease of doing business across different states.

The workshop forms part of broader efforts to strengthen Nigeria’s economic competitiveness by empowering sub-national governments to drive growth through improved business environments and stronger institutional capacity.
