Snappcode Productions has introduced a new project aimed at supporting and showcasing young creatives across Africa, providing micro-grants and visibility opportunities for personal stories and creative works. The company revealed the programme, known as the Snappcode Creators Grant, noting that it is designed for filmmakers, photographers, designers, editors and digital storytellers who possess compelling narratives but lack the financial means to bring them to life.
The initiative is positioned to uplift stories centred on resilience, culture, identity and social transformation, while helping emerging talents build sustainable careers within the growing creative ecosystem.
The Chief Executive Officer of Snappcode Productions explained that the mission of the grant is to dismantle long-standing obstacles that have hindered creative progress on the continent. He described Africa as a region rich in talent but held back by limited structures, low trust levels and inadequate industry visibility.

He further stated that the Snappcode Creators Grant is intended to spotlight powerful stories, empower creators capable of influencing the industry’s future and support careers with the potential to expand beyond borders and attract global recognition.
According to the organisers, one creator will receive a N1m grant under the programme. Applicants must submit an Instagram carousel or video that tells their personal creative story, outlining their early inspirations, challenges faced, ambitions and how the funding would help improve their craft. They stressed that they are seeking honest, striking storytelling that effectively conveys passion, direction and anticipated impact.
Snappcode also expressed willingness to collaborate with brands, investors and public institutions to expand the project in the coming years. It added that such partnerships could strengthen long-term backing for Africa’s digital and creative workforce — a sector driven largely by youthful innovation. For MSMEs within creative and media-focused industries, opportunities like this offer access to financial support, broader audiences and collaborative networks that can boost growth in a rapidly evolving landscape.
